What the program sets out to do, and who stands behind it.
Launched in 2018, the Legrand Empowering Scholarship Program provides access to higher education for meritorious girl students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. Since 2022, support has extended to differently abled students and LGBTQ+ students.
Through financial assistance, the program reduces barriers to education continuity, encourages diversity and inclusion, and empowers deserving students to complete their higher education.
Legrand is a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructure, based in Limoges and operating in 90 countries with a market presence in over 180 countries. As part of its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, Group Legrand India has helped over 700 students pursue careers in engineering, architecture, finance and science.
The scholarship benefit continues until the end of the course, subject to the student's academic performance each year.
Selected recipients are mentored by Legrand India's industrial and subject matter experts, nurturing future women leaders.

The scholarship is intended for students from Economically Weaker Sections who passed 12th in 2026 and have secured admission at any Indian institute.

The scholarship may be cancelled if false information is provided, and funds must be used only for educational purposes.
